Suddenly I felt really hot,I opened my eyes to see I was at a U.S. military base in the desert somewhere.There were about 7 large tan tents,men dressed in camo,walking in and out.
I got up out of the dirt and hurried to hide in a tent,my instincts told me to blend in.A young man walked in the tent,I panicked and punched him,he was knockout cold.i started to freak our but I managed to stay calm...barely.I took his uniform and put it on,I hurried then walked out.I unnoticed ran inside a different tent,I then looked back to see a few guys a walk in the tent I was once in.Shortly after,I heard a few laughs,then the young man was thrown out of the tent in his underwear.The other two guys laugh at him,he laid in the dirt.I was close enough to hear their conversation.
"I think I got pranked,again."the man I punched said.
"Yea,it was probably Jimmy."said another.
"Tom,Did 你 get punched?"The other chuckled.
"God,my head hurts,Do I have a black eye?"he asked covering his eye.He stood up on his feet.
"look in the mirror!"one of them said.
He hurried and went in the tent.
"Oh My Gosh!!"he yelled.
I felt guilty but proad that could pack a punch.
The guys laughed but scrambled when the general came around.
"Hurry,The generals coming!!"one of the boys yelled as he ran.
I didn't think much but I hid.I heard a whistle and the stomping of feet.I peeped out the tent door,to see young soldiers dressed in camo lined up,holding their guns.There was the general,He was tall and mighty with piercing eyes that could see right through you.He walked up and down the line examining the soldiers.Those two guys started laughing but when the general turned they both shut they're mouths.
"Sergeant Tom Hebert,Where is he?"the general questioned with a growl.
"I'm here sir!!"Tom trampled out of the tent,Nearly tripping.He wore another uniform,since I had took his.
"What kept 你 out,and it better be a good explanation."he demanded.
"I was pranked,someone knocked me out and took my uniform."
The generals eyes opened wide,
"I will not tolerate any thing such as these shenanigans,There could be an enemy amongst us,This is serious,Take your 枪 and 搜索 the tents!"he ordered.
And 由 his demand they did so,I 鸽子 down under a ben,next to a bag that had a name on it'John Hebert.'
Then those guys came in,they were still joking around.
"Hey buddy,Don't cha know your suppose sleep on the bed?"Joked one.
"I know we'd all like to sleep in...on the bed."laughed another.
"Hey,Don't pick on him."I heard a female voice.
I turned over and got up.She smiled at me with her pearly white teeth.She had black hair with dark blue eyes,You might say she was beautiful.She was dressed as a nurse,with her hair up in a ponytail.
"Hi,my names Rachel,I take care of all the ill here.So if 你 need anything,go to the health tent."She held out a hand.
I looked at her and recognized her to be courtneys mother,at 1st I thought she was Courtney.
"Your suppose to shake it."said one of the guys.
"Tom,Be quite."
I 鸽子 in and hugged her,I really missed her.
"Oh,um.."
"I don't shake I hug."I smiled.
"Oh really?"
"You also look like someone I know."I told her.
"Your british?"she asked.
"Um,Yes I immigrated to America."
"Well,What's your name?"
"Um,I'm Zach."
"That's a nice name,"she blushed.
I looked to Tom who was getting jealous.I went closer to him and whispered in his ear.
"She would be a good one for 你 to marry."I whispered.
He started to blush.
"I'm Tom"he held out a hand,I shaked it.
"I'm John."The other one told me.
They both looked simalar,Iike They were related.Both had straight but messy hair,Tom with blue eyes and John with green.
"Now sit down,We gotta do something about that eye."Rachel 说 to Tom.
I guessed he didn't recognize me,as the guy who punched him.I must have punched him pretty hard.She took an ice pack and pressed it against his eye softly.
"Ow,Gengtly."he warned.
She giggled,and smiled.
Suddenly,We heard some shouts and yells.The guys were quick to run out the tent with theyre guns.I did the same but took someone eles's gun.I walked out of the tent to see soldiers 鸽子 down under these sacks of sand,creating a barrier,aiming there 枪 at a figure in the distant.It was hard to see from the afar with the heat waves blaring the figure.I 鸽子 down also.
John was looking through some binoculars trying to see.
"At the count of 3,We will open fire."ordered the general."1..2.."
"No!!Its a child,Hold your fire!"Shouted John.
He then ran out to the child,I took his binoculars.The little boy was crying and looked about the age of 4.John picked him up,Thats when tears filled my heart.The child had a bomb on his chest which exploded.John flew back.
"John!!!!"Yelled Tom,then running out to his body.
I ran out also,Tom was 下一个 to John crying and yelling.
I then looked over to see the child's lifeless body.Angery raged through my head,Who could do this to a child?
"Tommy,Is that you?"weakly whispered John.
His face was covered in blood and ash.
"Yes,Buddy.Its me."
"What that word?The light?Well it exist."
"Stay with me,Don't go."
"I have to,But there's one thing I ask,.."he 说 barely"Marry Rachel...."and with that was his last words.
"Don't leave!!"he sobbed.
I lended over and closed his eyes.
"You have to let go,Tom."
He looked at me in his years and ran off.He ranti racheal and passionately kissed her.Then he got down on one knee asked her to marry him.She gladly 说 yes,and kissed him.
"Hey,Bud."I looked up to see John standing out of his lifeless body.He had no 更多 scars and no 更多 pain.
"Your an angel?"I asked.
"I hope,Tom always 说 I'd go to hell."
"She 说 yes."I told him.
"Dang,I didn't expect him to do it right away,I should have pretended to die but wake back up.I always wanted to but ya know it's a bit late."He looked at his lifeless body.
He looked up,At the sun.
"What do ya know I am an angel.Hey,Tell Tom,Bubba loves him."He started to walk out into the desert then vanished in to thin air.I looked to myself to see,My shoulders were disapearing.
Yet again I was timetraveling.I blinked once and I was gone in a flash.

I traveled to the present,in my living room.I looked out the window to see it was dark.Was I gone that long?
Thoughts ran through my head.Tom sat on the couch.
"You know now don't you?I was so angry and confused.Why did he have to go?He was just trying to help an innocent child.He was my brother and my best friend!"he yelled with tears in his eyes.
"He 说 he loves you."
"What?"he looked up.
"I seen him,His sprit,He 说 Bubba 爱情 you."
He smiled,
"Thank you."
"Ya know everything happens for a reason."
"Like that punch?You sure can pack a punch."he smirked.
I laughed.
"Your a nice guy,Let's be friends."He held out a hand.
Instead I hugged him.
