Since I got hooked on NCIS by FanFiction, I don't really know much. (I have a question and PLEASE don't be a jerk while answering):

Was Tony's dad abusive? He is in about 1/2 the fanfics, so just wondering...

I highly recommend that you watch the series (if you haven't already) just so you can draw your own conclusions on DiNozzo's past, but to help you along for the time being, here are some biographies of DiNozzo from various websites:
