They all deserve the love they get :) although Coldplay are maybe slightly overrated but thats maybe just cause their music isnt to my taste :)

I think if people were to listen to more than 5 songs of each of those bands, they'll perhaps not find them overrated.
I'm not saying they'll be everyone's favorite, but I doubt they'll find them overrated.

I see more love towards bands like Paramore and Evanescence. I think THEY are very overrated. The bands you mentioned are actually pretty good (except maybe Oasis)

The only band IMO that is overrated is Coldplay. The others aren't IMO.

What makes something 'over rated'? Just because a large number of people find it appealing? They're all very capable musicians. Not all of their music is going to appeal to everyone but that doesn't mean it isn't worthy of attention. It just means it's not to everyone's taste. Popularity doesn't make something good; it doesn't make it bad either.

Well, I love them all anyway. Music and musical tastes are so subjective. It's hard to define overrated, at least in terms of bands like this.

The Killers, Oasis and U2 are, Coldplay doesn't really seem that popular and I've never heard of The Fray.
