'Frozen' sequel is coming, says 迪士尼 | EW.com 

sequel will indeed cast its chilly spell over audiences: Disney has confirmed that 

directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee are developing the film along with producer Peter Del Vecho. 

The news was announced Thursday by Disney CEO Bob Iger, Disney and Pixar Animation Studios chief creative officer  John Lasseter, and Josh Gad, the voice of 

’s snowy sidekick Olaf, during a Disney shareholders meeting. “We enjoyed making ‘Frozen Fever’ so much, and being back in that world with those characters,” Lasseter said, according to Disney. “Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel, and you will be hearing a lot more about it. And we’re taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that.”

News that there will be a sequel for what became the highest-grossing animated film of all time isn’t exactly surprising; hints about its existence have come previously from the likes of star Idina Menzel. 

 is also hitting theaters this weekend in the form of “Frozen Fever,” a short that plays before Disney’s 

. Meanwhile, an adaptation of the first movie is also headed to the stage, with songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez returning to flesh out the score, and director and screenwriter Jennifer Lee working on the book.
