In preparation for the impending 'Invader Zim' TV movie, I did a full series re-watch and decided to rank my 最佳, 返回页首 10 'Invader Zim' episodes of all time! Here we go!


10. 1x17b 'Lice'
I 爱情 'Lice'! That's a weird thing to say... anyway, this is a really cool episode. One of my favourite things about it is how Dib thinks Countess von Verminstrasser is insane for believing in the Lice 皇后乐队 even though he routinely gets called insane for believing in the paranormal. He does the same thing to her as his classmates/family/the general public does to him!


9. 1x10b 'Bloaty's 比萨, 比萨饼 Hog'
'Bloaty's 比萨, 比萨饼 Hog' is a great episode for Gaz. I always 爱情 episodes were Gaz has to save Dib's (or the entire planet's) butt. She always does so so begrudgingly! Nothing fazes her, except the prospect of missing out on pizza. This episode clearly demonstrates that if Gaz had any desire to, she could probably wipe out the entire Irken Armada all on her own.


8. 1x06a 'Career Day'
This is a hilarious episode. I 爱情 the idea that even on earth, Zim is destined to work in fast food. I always liked the underlying commentary this episode does on the idea of the 'career'. The episode pairs the Skool kids with professions that they don't want 或者 can't do based on standardised test results, and even when they were paired with the profession of their choosing, like Dib was, it still didn't go as planned!


7. 2x06 'The Frycook What Came From All That Space'
I loved seeing Foodcourtia in lots of detail, as well as getting to see the flashback of Zim's banishment to Foodcourtia. It was fun to see Zim's total disregard for his punishment and his refusal to believe he is anything other than a prized Invader play out in the Foodcourtia context.


6. 1x05b 'The Wettening'
A classic Zim VS Dib episode! Both of them are so obsessed with out-doing the other, but this time it was cool to see this play out in a traditional schoolyard way. Sure, they both used science and advanced technology to engage in a water balloon fight, but instead of the fight being about human VS alien 或者 a battle for the planet, they used their science-powers for a typical school-yard quest for revenge!


5. 1x02a 'Bestest Friend'
I love Keef SO MUCH. He is so creepy (and absorbent)! One of my favourite things about the episode is that we either learn what Zim finds valuable in a friend, 或者 what Irkens in general look for in their friends: absorbency, electroconductivity and the capacity to withstand some final test that involves a small 海狸 and a toy taxi cab. The Zim/Keef friendship montage is also one of my all time favourite things from the 显示 ever.


4. 1x09a 'A Room With A Moose'
While the idea of a room with a moose eating walnuts being a true horror is hilarious, Zim's evil plan in this episode is probably one of his smartest and well-executed. I always kinda wished Dib had let the bus enter the room with the moose, but I do still like that Dib decided to save his ungrateful class mates 由 playing into their hatred of him. Saving lives is a thankless task, Dib!


3. 1x12b 'Game Slave 2'
This is 由 far my favourite Gaz-centric episode. I 爱情 Iggins (as annoying as he is!), but Gaz's pursuit of him is so awesome. I loved the horror tropes utilised to inflict terror upon Iggins. This whole episode is another perfect example of how nothing can withstand the full force of Gaz!


2. 1x04b 'Dark Harvest'
A classic and controversial 'Invader Zim' episode. I know lots of 粉丝 struggle with this episode, but for me it is brilliance. I 爱情 it when kids' shows go real dark, because a lot of kids can actually handle, and enjoy, darker content. Challenging kid's brains is a good thing! Anyway, I 爱情 Zim's assumption that the 更多 human organs he has, the 更多 convincing a human is. I mean, that kinda makes sense if 你 are an alien who hasn't actually done a lot of homework on what a human is!
Oh, and of course, the 'head-pigeons' gag is iconic!


1. 1x03b 'Walk Of Doom'
I freaking 爱情 this episode. Everything about Zim and 吉尔 wandering around the city is hilarious. Zim is supposed to be learning all he can about life on earth so he can most effectively destroy it, and yet he finds himself flummoxed 由 so many things in this episode: geography, the sun, buses, bank robberies... This episode also features another of my all time favourite scenes: Zim and Gir's attempt at a bus ride. That scene never fails to make me laugh!
