Chapter 3
Lisa quickly put the reminiscent clothes on and gave herself a quick look over in the mirror. Her hair was damp and her clothes were haunting but she just shrugged and left the bathroom. Her head was still killing her and the pills were downstairs so that’s where she headed.
She 冶炼, 闻到 something heavenly and knew Hugh had ordered in. When she walked into the 厨房 there was 2 plates of 食物 at the 厨房 表 and Hugh was pouring some coffee. “Morning.” Was all he said. “Morning.” She opened a cupboard and grabbed some ibuprofen and was handed coffee. “Thanks.” She 说 awkwardly before swallowing the pills and coffee. “Something smells good. 你 order in?” Hugh gave her a fake hurt face. “I am perfectly capable of cooking a breakfast. Thank 你 very much.” She smirked and shook her head. “I don’t doubt that but the edibility of the concoction would be questionable.” “Ah. I suppose you’re right. But luckily the boys down at the iHop know a thing 或者 two about cooking pancakes.” She laughed before sitting down in front of a plate of 食物 that was set down for her.
Lisa smiled at the pancake face with 草莓 eyes, 蓝莓 teeth, and whipped cream hair. ‘This is oddly nice.’ She thought to herself. ‘He must be making up for something. Oh dear God! I hope we didn’t do anything!’ She couldn’t stop thinking about these questions, so after eating some breakfast in silence, she figured she’d just ask him. “Hugh.” He lifted his head and nodded, not able to talk because he had stuffed 2 薄煎饼, 煎饼 in his mouth. “I don’t really remember anything from last night so, naturally, I have questions…” She was nervous about asking and he saw her nervousness. “Yes, 你 did try to seduce me. Yes, 你 did puke all over us. No, I did not look at 你 或者 touch anything while trying to get 你 dressed. And, no, we did not have sex.” She released the breath she had been holding and closed her eyes in relief. “Thank God.” Her mumble was barely audible but just loud enough for Hugh to hear. “I don’t know if I should be insulted 或者 relieved.” She smirked and stood so she could take their plates over to the sink. While carrying the dishes over she did not feel his eyes on her…which was unusual.
Hugh was silent as she washed the dishes. Tings were going great between them so far. He didn’t want to ruin it but, he was getting all nervous and feeling like he would pass out from too many butterflies. He couldn’t help but to feel this way around her. He knew he shouldn’t have feelings like this but also knew that ever since he laid eyes on her he had those and they would never go away.
Just as she was finishing the dishes she felt him walk up 下一个 to her and lean against the counter. She stopped and looked over at him in his pensive state. “This is the first time we’ve actually talked since…well since…” He let his sentence trail off. “We talk on set.” Lisa pointed out. “I meant as Lisa and Hugh…not House and Cuddy.” She knew what he meant but hoped that he would forget about it if she tried to divert a little. “Lisa…” “Yes?” He stood in front of her now and rested a hand on her arm. “I just want to let 你 know that I’m sorry how things blew up for us. I never meant to hurt 你 或者 anyone else…” He got 迷失 in her slate eyes and beautiful face and that’s when he 迷失 it. “It’s just- Ugh God!” He turned away from her and paced in frustration. “Why is it so hard to express what I feel to you?! Every single fucking time I try and do something brave, romantic, 或者 sentimental I end up screwing things up and hurting somebody else!” He stopped pacing and looked at her. His eyes were frighteningly beautiful to her and then they were gone. He walked out of the 厨房 and around the corner where she heard him 冲床 the 墙 and slam the door to his 音乐 room.
She couldn’t stand to see him like this and it ripped at her 心 even 更多 to know that she was helping the cause. As tears threatened to fall, she ran off upstairs.

Hugh slammed the door, making the bottle of 波旁酒, 波本威士忌 on his 钢琴 jump a little. He immediately poured himself a glass and nursed it. He listened to her run upstairs and knew she planned to leave. Right then he felt like an idiotic child with the way he got flustered and stormed off. He stared at the amber liquid in his glass. He didn’t want her to go like this. After setting the glass down and getting up, he walked out of the room just in time to see her coming down the stairs dressed in her pants but his shirt. (Her 衬衫 was still in the need of a major cleaning and not that she was too high maintenance, it’s just she hated the spell of puke.)
Hugh tried to block her path so he could talk but every time he would, she’d just push him out of the way. “Lisa!” He finally yelled just loud enough for her to realize he was serious. Lisa stopped and turned around to face him. “Please. Don’t go. I-I’m sorry. I didn’t flip out because of you, I just got so frustrated with myself for not telling the truth and-” He stopped once his voice broke, for he himself (nor Lisa) had seen it coming: He was crying. “Oh Hugh.” She stepped 前锋, 期待 and put a comforting hand on his shoulder and tried to look him in the eye. “…You can tell me. I’ll listen wholeheartedly. I promise.” He nodded and motioned for her to sit down with him on the small bench.
“I didn’t leak information about…us. Someone did though…someone whom I thought had no idea about…about us…”
