So, once there was this girl - well, actually that girl still is - but anyway, this girl who we'll call Emma, for the purposes of now. (Well, actually, we'll call her that because it's her name. But 你 get the point.)

Around two, two and a half years ago, when Emma was in sixth grade, one of her 老友记 - let's call her K, if she must have a name - was 阅读 a book that looked rather interesting. It was black, with a shiny hard cover, and had an 苹果 on the front. It was called Houkutus, which translates to Temptation. Emma liked the name and thought it might prove an interesting read, but she never did remember to check out the book at the library.

About a 年 after that, what I like to call 'The Twilight Brainwashing' really kicked into gear. This was late 2OO8, and the movie release was just underfoot. Emma hadn't really heard about it, that much, but her 老友记 were all going on about how Twilight was the best 爱情 story they'd ever read. But Emma didn't really like the idea of vampires, so she kept raiding the 图书馆 for other 图书 instead.

However, all the way until the 圣诞节 holidays, Emma just kept on hearing 更多 and 更多 about Twilight, until one 日 when she was eating out with her family in 'celebration' of the spring term starting, she remembered the almost infamous book. So, seeing as they were in a mall, she asked her parents if they could make one tiny little detour... and they agreed. So she went 首页 with the Twilight book.

She read it all that same evening, and loved it. If 你 had asked her, she could not have explained why she loved it... it just 'spoke' to her. The 下一个 日 after school, she ran around all the bookshops in Helsinki, trying to find New Moon, but it seemed like she wasn't the only one who had fallen into the Twilight craze around the time the movie was released, since she couldn't find them anywhere. Finally, one of her 老友记 (We'll call her R) loaned it to her, and she went 首页 to read the entire 6OO pages in one night.

Once again, she loved it... and cried when Eddykinz left. The 下一个 day, R loaned her Eclipse, and the same pattern as with New Moon was repeated.

However, R did not have Breaking Dawn. Neither did the bookshops, since it had newly been released. So, Emma ordered it off the internet. The 日 it finally arrived, she was so engrossed in 阅读 it she accidentally burned dinner. Her mother wasn't too pleased...

So, half a 年 passed. When asked about her favourite books, she's reply with 'Harry Potter and Twilight'... yeah, she was one of those people. She went to see the movie, and thought it pretty much sucked. She kept seeing people complain about the lack of plot and terrible quality of writing, but she didn't contest them - they were, she thought, entitled to their own (wrong) opinion.

Until one fateful day, the summer between seventh and eighth grade, Emma decided to start re-reading the series. She kept noticing the lack of plot and terrible quality of 写作 people had been talking about, 更多 and 更多 until Breaking Dawn seemed to be nothing but. That was the 日 she removed 'The Twilight Saga' from her favourite 图书 on her 脸谱 page, and hid the 图书 in her cupboard. Since that day, she has been telling people to stop 阅读 Twilight and to please read some actual literature instead.

Then one 日 near the end of eight grade, Emma finally found her missing copy of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and started re-reading the series in celebration. Since that happy, happy day, she has been a full-on Potthead.

Finally, one 日 in June, she was Googling '1OO Reasons Why Twilight Is Better Than Harry Potter', simply for the lulz - the reasons are, 你 must admit, stupid. Instead, however, she came upon a website called Fanpop, 更多 specifically the spot called Harry Potter vs. Twilight, and even 更多 specifically the 论坛 '1OOO reasons why harry potter is better than twilight'. It had around 1OO pages at that time, and she started 阅读 them, interested. However, she only got to page 2O before she got so impatient she simply made an account and joined in... and the rest, as they say, is history.
