Last time we saw Dany, she reluctantly shackled her dragons, Rhaegal and Viserion, after Drogon escaped into the wild and burned a little girl. After conquering a number of slaver cities, she’s staying put in Meereen to practice being a true ruler. Season five may see the Khaleesi getting tangled in the Meereenese knot.
With no qualms leaving The Hound to die after a brutal encounter with Brienne, she slips past them both and secures passage to Braavos, following the face-changing example of the mysterious Jaqen H’ghar.
Jon lost much, including many comrades as well as star-crossed love Ygritte, in the Battle at Castle Black, despite ultimately winning the struggle. Jon’s current plans involve rebuilding the Night’s Watch and dealing with Stannis and Melisandre’s presence at the Wall.

9. Sandor “The Hound” Clegane (Rory McCann)
The Hound spent much of season four traveling with Arya Stark with the intention of receiving payment for her safe return to her family in the Vale. Nothing goes as planned, and he ends the season with mortal wounds and abandoned by Arya to die alone.
Reek, Reek it rhymes with meek. Transformed after unimaginable torture and mutilation at the hands of Ramsay Snow, the son of the Lord of the Iron Islands considers himself Reek, a loyal, weak servant to the newly legitimized bastard son of Roose Bolton, the current Warden of the North.

Always playing the long game, Varys publicly denounces Tyrion as Joffrey’s killer but ensures his escape on board a ship to Essos. Upon hearing the bells raising alarm to Tywin’s murder, he decides to head back to his homeland and join Tyrion in exile.
Hurt yet victorious after an intense skirmish with the Hound, she loses track of Arya Stark yet ostensibly continues her quest with Pod to find Sansa and ensure her safety, as promised by her kindred spirit, Jaime.

Two husbands down, Margaery is now working on making the third match her last. Learning from her grandmother Lady Olenna’s example, Margaery has “mourned” Joffrey’s death, focusing on imparting her influence on young King Tommen, much to Cersei’s chagrin.
Self-styled King Stannis has relocated his efforts to the North after his great losses at the Battle of the Blackwater. With a tentative allegiance with the Night’s Watch after aiding them in their conflict with the wildlings, Stannis hopes to use the North as his base to reclaim Westeros as its rightful king.

Gilly and her baby boy survived the Battle at Castle Black, along with the cowardly Janos Slynt, and continue to take refuge with the Night’s Watch. In honor of Sam’s bravery and love for her, Gilly has named her son, Sam.
