I remember visiting this website once...
It was called Celebrate Zoo Year’s Eve With New ‘Zootopia’ Trailer + Listen to Shakira’s ‘Try Everything’!
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Happy Zoo Year’s Eve everyone! And what’s a better way than to celebrate it than with a new trailer for Walt Disney Animation’s upcoming animated feature Zootopia? It’s only been a few weeks since we got the hilarious
that was very well received, but unfortunately it didn’t reveal too much of the film’s plot, so it’s exciting that we finally got our first full trailer that reveals some new plot points and a first good look at the film’s visuals.
Besides the new trailer, we also got a first preview of the song
sung by Shakira. Shakira will be voicing the character of Gazelle in the movie and this song will play in the movie when Judy Hopps for the first time ever enters the city of Zootopia. A preview of the song is also part of the new trailer.
In the animal city of Zootopia, a fast-talking fox who’s trying to make it big goes on the run when he’s framed for a crime he didn’t commit. Zootopia’s top cop, a self-righteous rabbit, is hot on his tail, but when both become targets of a conspiracy, they’re forced to team up and discover even natural enemies can become best friends.
Zootopia soars into theaters March 4, 2016.
trailer? What are your thoughts on Shakira’s Try Everything?
This makes Chicken Little look amateurish. The character designs are so perfect.
Disney are obviously trying to pretend that Chicken Little never existed. This Disney movies draws inspiration from all the animal centered movies except Chicken Little lol.
I like “Chicken Little”! And at least Disney put thier effort into it.
WOW!! This trailer is just so awesome and I could not stop laughing at that Mole Boss scene like OMG!! So can’t wait for this now!!
If you’ve ever watched The Godfather? Mr. Big (the mole boss) is a tribute to the main character in that movie, Vito Corleone. Heck, even the fact that his daughter is getting married is another direct homage to The Godfather.
I’d give an arm to draw animals half as good as Cory Loftis. As long as it wasn’t drawing arm, cuz y’know, that would defeat the purpose.
I really like where I see the story going in terms of Judy’s character arc, too.
Carnivores going feral? what a genius idea! Looks like Walt Disney Animation Studios has stolen Pixar’s spot for the studio of feels.
I disagre. Don’t get me wrong, Walt Disney Animation Studios are great and have made some great films, but they aren’t as good as Pixar. Especially after Pixar gave us Inside Out.
I disagree. Ever since the merger with Disney, aside Inside Out and after Toy Story 3, Pixar’s quality has been mediocre. Disney Animation on the other hand has provided critically successful movies throughout. Heck, if you look at Pixar’s current slate: they’re piggybacking on sequels.
Just because Pixar’s slate is mostly consisted with sequels doesn’t mean they will be bad, and just because Disney Animation’s slate is mostly original ideas doesn’t mean they will be good. You can have good sequels and bad original ideas and you can have bad sequels and good original ideas. Hopefully, none of the upcoming films from Pixar and Disney Animation (including this one, Finding Dory, and Moana) are bad.
To be truthfully honest, I respect both studios equally and I get ultra defensive when one of the two studios is over-appreciated over the other. Maybe that’s just me wanting Disney Animation and Pixar to be as equally valuable in the entertainment industry as opposed to either of them being “Disney’s best animation subsidiary”.
Disney will also be producing sequels in the future. Those being Frozen 2 and Wreak-it Ralph 2.
I love everything about this trailer. The character designs, the appeal, the animation, it looks really awesome. I wasn’t sure about the whole punny publicity campaign thing, but it seems like there’s much more than that comedy-wise. Can’t wait to see this film.
To be honest, when this was announced and when info started coming out about it I wasn’t the least be interested. But this trailer and the previous clip where the fox told the dmv sloth a joke have got me sold. I cannot wait to see it now!
Gotta say I am super duper excited now. The shrew, Mr. Big reminds me of a poster back when I was getting hired of an elephant getting fired by a rat and it said “life’s not fair”, I fear that day
Not sure about this one. Unlike a lot of people, I was never a big fan of Wreak-it Ralph. And to my knowledge, Rich Moore is co-directing this, so it’s no-go for me. But hey, at least it looks interesting.
You’d never guess the man who directed Meet The Feebles would direct something like Lord of the Rings.
Good point. Just like the man who directed Toy Story also directed Cars 2. I guess funny things like that happen all the time.
WOW what a trailer! I LOVE it! Look at that world-building!!!
Watched it this morning! Here’s a brief summary of my emotions:
Ohmygosh! I loved this trailer. Loved the last one, it had everybody in my family laughing, but this is the promise that this is going to be so much more than a comedy.
I am so amazed and awestruck at the detail, setting and atmosphere of the movie so far. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to fully understand the backbreaking work that these animators went through to deliver this, especially the animal’s movements.
I already love the relationship between Nick and Judy. It’s hilarious, hectic and yet sweet, which has been in countless Disney films already, but still works.
I swore my heart stopped a couple of times, especially in the dark, suspenseful rainy scenes that were shown, and the quote “It doesn’t matter how badly you want it. It matters on what you are capable of!” Ouch. This film looks to be a little more scary than I imagined it would be, but I’m still on board with it.
Last thing: Although I have never seen the Godfather, that shrew bit at the end was so adorable, I laughed anyway.
Overall, it was a great trailer! I can’t wait for the movie! Just a little over two months to wait!
