Please explain: "Christianity is not a religion"

基督教 is a religion in my opinion. A hindu could say "hinduism isn't a religion because it's a relationship with our spiritual gods." But every belief system that involves a moral way of living and a spiritual force is a religion. 基督教 is definitly about our relationship with God, but there's nothing wrong with saying it's a religion because it is and it's our religion. Religion is a good thing, it's keeps the soul in ballence :)

It's a way to say it's not about rituals 或者 about appearances, it's about the relationship we have with God.

Christian is a general term, a "term" not a religion. Religion is the denomination like "Babtist," "Catholic," "Lutheran" and a "Christain" can be any of those 或者 none-because it is very simply someone who is a believer believes in 耶稣 Christ as their Lord & savior. :)

Well lets be honest it is a religion if we use the definition, "a collection of cultural systems, belief systems, and worldviews that relate humanity to spirituality and, sometimes, to moral values". 基督教 requires both a "work" AND a relationship

there are rules, rituals, and lifestyles that Christians are expected to keep. We are asked to go to church, pay ties, help the poor, 显示 love/charity...etc, so it does require some works

However it is also not about have a "relationship" with him because 耶稣 说 that if we 爱情 him then we will OBEY his commandments. Satan has a "relationship" with God but he doesn't obey the rules

What makes 基督教 different is because the promise of "heaven" is not promised if 你 follow all the rules and do everything "by the book". God wants us to have a relationship with him, not because of what he gives us now 或者 later, but because we appreciate the fact that he loves and provides for us

Its not wrong to call 基督教 a religion, so long as 你 know that it takes 更多 then following the rules of the bible to get into heaven. God wants 你 to WANT to worship him and do his good will, he doesn't want a heartless robot.

I believe 基督教 is a faith 更多 than anything. Saying it's a religion puts it in the same 船, 小船 with Hinduism, Islam, and other religions created 由 man. Christianity, also known as The Way, is God-created and spread 由 man through the Holy Spirit. Calling it a faith singles it out, makes it different, because God is a real thing and He did send His Son to die for us. I guess 你 could say it's the greatest kind of faith 你 could have. :3

I don't think 基督教 is a religion. It's a faith. It's THE way of life (Jesus). Also, when it comes to belief in God, I also think that believing includes having faith, feeling that & love/wanting/needing to worship. For example, 你 can say that u believe that God exists. That's different, cuz there's 更多 to it than believing in Him. It means whole-heartedly.

In most religions its all about what 你 do , and outward things but 基督教 deals with the heart,you cant please God with works...... and God doesn't force us to do things ,we do it from our 心 ....in 基督教 youre not a christian because 你 are born in a christian 首页 you're a christian when 你 realize what 你 've done in 你 心 and sincerely change
