It was called ‘Arrow’ Season 3 预览 — Ra’s al Ghul Offer, Oliver/Felicity and 更多 | TVLine
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
‘s Oliver Queen, “It’s going to get worse before it gets better,” series star Stephen Amell warned Saturday night during the CW series’ PaleyFest panel.
Acknowledging that it’s “interesting to have a Big Bad who’s very interested in Oliver staying alive” — as Ra’s al Ghul obviously is, having invited his onetime opponent to assume leadership of the League of Assassins — Amell noted, “If you know Ra’s and his tactics… you realize that it’s an ‘offer’ in name only. It’s a
. And if Oliver says no, there will be incredibly dire consequences.”
him else be felled by him — marks “the big thrust of the last third of the season,” Amell said, resulting in a “more defeated” Oliver. That said, the actor posited that after roughly “70 episodes of ‘Don’t talk to me\'” stand-offishness by Team Arrow’s leader, there have to be happier days ahead, at some point. “You can only stare broodingly out a window for so long,” he stated.

Elsewhere during the panel discussion, which was populated by Amell, David Ramsey, Katie Cassidy, Emily Bett Rickards, Colton Haynes, Paul Blackthorne, Willa Holland, John Barrowman and exec producers Marg Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti:
* Surveying disenfranchised Felicity’s current POV on Oliver, Rickards said, ‘She’s like, ‘Hell no, I’m not going to deal with somebody who only gives half of their emotions.’ But she still cares for him deeply.” Right here and now, however, “She needs the time to go and explore her options,” Ray Palmer included. “She needs that nourishment and support of love.” Amell’s stance? “If there’s… a moment where Oliver finally decides to ‘let go’ and get into the land of the living, the object of his affection would most likely be Felicity — but she’s spoken for.”
* Reeling as Thea is from the discovery that Malcolm duped her into killing Sara and then kept it a secret, “I don’t see her coming back from that lightly. I don’t see it going well,” Holland said. “Every time he comes into the room, I just might kill him!” Especially since protecting her own life, and
taking others’, was her sole reason for training under her father. “I don’t think she ever fathomed the idea of killing someone, [so] this is a huge weight on her shoulders,” the actress said.

* Asked how Diggle is juggling life-threatening derring-do with his role as father and soon-to-be husband, Ramsey explained, “The struggles that Oliver has,” pushing away a loved one as he did with Felicity, “Diggle has reconciled much of that. He can have a family and a wife and a child,
he can also fight crime… The struggle that Oliver has, Diggle doesn’t.”
* Rickards affirmed that during her next visit to
, Felicity will “go computer-to-computer” with her own arch nemesis, Brie Larvan aka DC Comics’ Bug-Eyed Bandit (played by
‘s Emily Kinney). “We have a ‘tech-off.\'”

* Speculation about Malcolm’s love life led to Guggenheim jokingly invoking the name of Felicity’s mother, Donna Smoak — to which Barrowman roared, “That would be so awesome!” But then Blackthorne jumped in to note, “Excuse me, Lance hasn’t been laid in seven years!”
* Asked by a young audience member to tease no less than Season
, Kreisberg offered that because of how the current season ends, “The show will never be the same again.”

Was surprised they didn’t really bring up the Atom at all, i’d have thought Felicity sleeping with him would have been a hot button topic.
At the event, the producers said that Oliver will be more tempted to take Ghul’s offer due to Atom’s presence, and the fact that Ray Palmer finds out about Oliver’s secret. That being said, Ray Palmer was mentioned in this article.
This has been an off season for Arrow. I still like it, but I think that Ray could have been a two or three episode background character, rather than taking up as much time as he has without really contributing to the overall story. I think that the Oliver/Felicity drama has put both characters in awkward boxes this year, killing the team dynamic. Oliver seems less intelligent and less competent as a fighter this year. And the overall arc of the season doesn’t feel as cohesive as past seasons.
That said, Laurel has had a great arc. Ted is a solid character who has been used well without being used too much. Thea has come a long way as well. Maseo and Tatsu are great additions to the DC TV universe.
I’m looking forward to seeing Diggle shine in the upcoming Suicide Squad episode, since he has been relegated to the bench a bit too much lately.
Everything About this season being slightly off is true. It just doesn’t feel right. And I do think Ray has a lot to do with it. It’s taking away from arrow. I dunno this season feels disjointed.
““If you know Ra’s and his tactics… you realize that it’s an ‘offer’ in name only. It’s a demand. And if Oliver says no, there will be incredibly dire consequences.”” hasn’t that plot already pretty much played out in the Batman comics?
Really love this show. The magic this show has is in the dynamics of the cast. Yes, angst is always important, but there needs to be a turning point. Still rooting for Olicity, but it’s great to see felicity out there and not pining for Oliver like a kicked puppy. Keep up the great work arrow team!
I’m happy for Felicity, she found someone she desired and who desired her back and things happened, she’s a big girl and it’s great to see her act in a mature way to know not to wait in vain for what might/might not happen with Oliver. If and when Oliver is ready to be with her, he will need to stand in line, she should not get an automatic pass…
So there was no mention or discussion of Black Canary, but the Senior Smoak/Merlyn issue was such an important discussion point that it was required coverage in this an every other Paley/Arrow article?
I agree … This season has not been great ray Palmers story line is dragging on too long not a major impact laural should be killed off. Pointless having her around.
Bug-Eyed Bandit! I can’t wait to see this one.
