Last seen licking doughnuts in the Inland Empire, Ariana Grande resumes her pop career with the second leg of her highly successful “Honeymoon Tour,” which has already ranked as one of the highest-grossing road shows of the year.

The 22-year-old pop singer promises a major spectacle, as Grande floats over the stage, straddles a chandelier and sings through a shower of sparks.

On the road in support of her second album, 2014’s “My Everything,” Grande matches her many costume changes with irresistible pop songs like “Pink Champagne,” “Best Mistake” and her version of the hit “Bang Bang.”

Those who have caught the show say it makes a good case for Grande as Mariah Carey’s octave-spanning heir apparent. But what really matters is that the gig keeps her off the streets and out of the local pastry shop.
