) have landed the lead roles of O.J. Simpson and prosecutor Marcia Clark.

creator Ryan Murphy, got a straight-to-series order in October — with a 10-episode first season focusing on the murder trial of NFL star Simpson, who was accused and ultimately acquitted of killing his wife Nicole Brown Simpson.

The story will be based on Jeffrey Toobin’s book

, which is told from the lawyers’ perspective and details the legal maneuvering involved in the famous case.

I really hope this doesn’t take her away from the American Horror Story franchise.

Because above all else in this world, after the endless hrs of TV that were devoted to the real trial the first time around, what we need to see now is ten more hours focused on this issue. Specially a fictionalized account (do note the sarcasm, heh).

The idea of the series is intriguing, but I think starting off with OJ is the wrong choice. How about something less recent like the Fatal Vision case?

I’m just ready to see who is going to play Kato, Ito and the dancing Itos.

With Murphy at its helm, it’ll be sure to have a great first season! And then fall apart slowly as you watch your favorite characters become caricatures.
