It's the morning after Kate and I were married.
"Kate, It's time to get up!" I 说 sweetly into her ear.
"What time is it?" She asked.
"Time to get up!" I joked.
"OK smartass!" She laughed.
Kate shuffled around trying to get up fairly quickly as we both wanted to see how Lilly and Garth were doing. We wanted to stop 由 for about 5 分钟 then head down to the lake to wash up. When we got to the 巢穴, den, 书房 they were up and about getting ready to go to the lake themselves.
"Kate, Humphrey, Whats up guys?" Garth asked.
"Just wanted to see how Barf and Lilly were doing." I joked.
"Ha Ha Ha, very funny!" Garth said.
"Just wanted to check up on 你 guys!" I answered.
"Yeah, were headed down to the lake." Lilly 说 walking 由 us.
"We better all go then." I said.
The four of us headed to the lake talking all the way down.Once we got there Kate whispered to me that we should go to another part of the lake away from Garth and Lilly. I agreed and we walked another quarter mile around a bend in the lake. When we got around the bend I thought I knew what was on her mind.
"Humphrey?" She asked.
"Yeah baby!" I 说 rubbing against her.
"I know what your thinking, that can wait until the bath tonight. I actually wanted to talk to you." She said.
"About what?" I 说 surprised.
"Well since we are mates now Dad and Tony retired. Since the old pack law went out the window, Who takes lead of the pack? I was slow to get up because I went to check on Garth and Lilly late last night and heard them talking about the same thing! Only one can lead!" She said.
I thought about it for a minute.
"I think we should go talk to your dad!" I said
Kate agreed.
On our way to see Winston we saw Garth and Tony talking. When Tony saw us he walked away, As did Garth. We ignored it and kept going. Somehow Garth beat us to the dens. He was making a speech on how and Omega should not be able to lead the pack and that he was the best choice. For some reason everyone agreed. 由 the time Winston tried to say something it was too late. The whole Eastern pack was already on Garth's side aswell as some of the Western pack. Garth was 给 the 标题 of leader of the pack. None of the remaining 狼 wanted to say anything because 75% of the pack was on Garths side.
"Grab Kate and Humphrey!!!" Garth demanded.
The Eastern 狼 easily listened. There was some hesitation from the Western wolves. They grabbed us 由 the paws and drug us to a a fast flowing river.
"What the Hells wrong with 你 Garth!!!" I yelled.
"Im taking over, I cant have 你 two getting in the way. Goodnight 你 two!" He said.
A couple 狼 from the Eastern pack came over and hit us in the head with rocks. Knocking Kate out cold. I was in a daze but pretended like I was knocked out. They threw us in the river.Kate sank and I went imediatly after her. I broke the surface with her in my paws. I saw a floating log and lifted her onto it. Then I got on. We floated for about a half 小时 before Kate woke up.
"What happend?" She asked.
"Garth betrayed us. He is taking all the power for the pack and tried to kill us. We need to get to shore!" I said.
We swam to 支撑, 海岸 and I looked at Kate's head. She was bleeding bad. I had her lay down and put a large leaf on her head and put pressure on it to stop the bleeding. We sat for ten 分钟 before we started walking, Kate was very weak. After another 20 分钟 of walking I decided to stop and let Kate rest 或者 sleep if she needed too. Kate and I cuddled together, she felt so cold. I pulled her closer to warm her up. She then fell asleep. I was up for another 小时 trying to think what I was going to do to Garth. I then fell asleep.
