\'Agent X\' Series Finale Preview: Will John Go Too Far?

is upon us, with two back-to-back episodes that will not only end the season, but the series (as the network elected earlier this season not to pick up a second cycle). With that in mind, what are we supposed to expect from the evening\'s action?

In the first installment, fittingly titled "Penultimate," John Case (Jeff Hephner) is forced into playing for the wrong side when Volker kidnaps his girlfriend Pamela Richardson (Carolyn Stotesbery). Volker has plans for the Geryon device John recovered last week and they involve showing his former protege the error of his ways.

Naturally, this leads handler Malcolm Millar (Gerald McRaney) to wonder if John might finally have gone off the reservation. After all, is there anything he wouldn\'t do to save the one woman that he loves? Especially after he finally came clean to her (mostly) in last week\'s episode?

But there\'s more. The season finale, "Fidelity," puts John up against an even bigger challenge when his boss Natalie Maccabee (Sharon Stone) accompanies the newly recovered President and other dignitaries to an evening at the Paris Opera House.

Such a gathering is catnip to those who would do evil, and it\'s soon up to John to save everyone - because if he doesn\'t, then the team is looking at losing not only its leaders but several others as well. Can he keep everyone safe and finally demolish the conspiracy that\'s been one step ahead of him all season? And where does Olga (Olga Fonda) come back into the equation? It\'s probably not anywhere good.
