Anyways, sounds like you're in quite the predicament. None of my 老友记 have ever gone that far before; the farthest one of mine has been was up north, a few hours. It's understandable that 你 two will miss each other, so why don't 你 find out exactly where she's going to be and send her letters? If 你 can't get an address of some sort, then try texting 或者 sending messages on the computer. 你 can communicate and keep in touch -- that way, 你 don't have to feel really upset. If 你 have a laptop with a webcam (or a computer, since it works the same), then 你 can see if 你 two can webcam each other.

If she hasn't begun to leave yet, I think 你 two should spend a whole 日 together doing whatever it is that 你 guys like to do. Write a lot of notes to her during your free time and then, before she goes, 你 can hand it to her before she goes. She can look at them when she's over in Italy and smile when she looks over them. An alternative if 你 can't give it to her, 或者 any other circumstance that stops you: just "spam" her with a bunch of messages. Whenever my 老友记 drop 由 randomly and give me countless comments, I feel really happy inside.

Yeah, it's gonna suck being so far, but 你 WILL see each other again. The fact that you'll be 老友记 no matter how far is another thing that shouldn't worry 你 two.
