^ They bought Alex Song, because of Keita's departure. Keita was vital to the team as he was a very important squad player. When he left we didn't have any back-up for the defensive midfielder role and Barca would have been screwed if Busquets got injured. And apparently Tito has some plans for Song. He has hinted that he might play with two pivots and Song can fill in the the centre back position as well. Jonathan dos Santos is good, but he isn't exactly a reliable cover up for Busquets. Barca actually wanted to sell him, at least on loan, but he wanted to stay. Cuenca is not a midfielder, he is a winger, and is not expected to come back from his knee injury until October. Thiago is a beast, but he isn't a defensive midfielder, he is an attacking midfielder, and he was injured when Song was bought 一年多以前

Tello keeps on starting because the coaching staff has realised his potential and talent, and because they want him to gain experience and mature into a better player. He still has a lot to learn, though. My only worry is that the management didn't buy a centre back this summer, and now that Pique and Puyol are injured, and the fact that the coach doesn't trust the youth players (Bartra and Fontas), the team is in a crisis right now... 一年多以前
