They don't feel they're lives going anywhere and they don't know how to be happy. They clearly don't trust other people, perhaps because they were once bullied. They're young but they don't embrace this fact.

They look around at the world and only see sad people. It sounds like they may have even considered suicide.
So in short I interpret the song as 2 kids who are basically completely dissatisfied with life, most likely battling depression and loneliness. They've 迷失 all ambition in life and they don't see a good future for themselves. They're learning, 或者 reeducating, themselves that the world isn't a happy place.
