Why do 你 think people don't like Titanic?

I think people don't like this movie because of a few simple reasons. One, it's a romance movie. I know plenty of people who say they absolutely hate romance and rather see guts spill out on the battlefield. Two, it's not a kid's movie. This can be a reason because the audience watching the film are mostly female adults/adolescents (not to sound sexist), and we all know how opinionated women can be.

Finally, the real reason I think people don't like Titanic, is because it's just plain worldwide famous. I know that when I saw 阿凡达 I was expecting a lot 更多 than the movie really provided, due to a lot of my 老友记 telling me how amazing it was. In the end, it disappointed me. This can be the same for Titanic. I can go up to some 随意 person and say, "Oh my gosh, 泰坦尼克号 is such a great movie! 你 HAVE to see it!" They might get that same disappointed feeling as I did when they do see the movie (but honestly, who hasn't?) because I exaggerated how great some things can be. Also, there are people who immediately go against something that's infamous. Like me, I never liked Twilight just because it was popular. (And don't talk me out of it, because I've read the first book and seen the first two movies, and I just don't like it.)

Yes, 泰坦尼克号 is an amazing movie in my eyes, and in many eyes of others as well. But to others they might have a different opinion on what's a great movie. And that is why I think people don't like 泰坦尼克号 as we do.

I think some people hate this movie because it makes them release their emotions too much for them to "handle" and that they are afraid to let themselves become one with the characters.

Okay, not all young men don't like Titanic. I like it! 泰坦尼克号 is so sad. The first time I saw it, I cried a lot!!! I think that the laundry was big enough for that day! It still is that sad. But I think that people are layers: they like it, but don't want to say that in public. Otherwise they're not being cool. And then some guys/girls don't like romance movies. I have a niece who doesn't like romantic things. Although, she's a big 粉丝 of the Twilight Saga.

Because it's too sad. It's perfectly normal for people to hate sad movies. I know people who 爱情 romance movies, but hated 泰坦尼克号 because it was too sad. I'm sure they would have loved the movie if Jack had survived at the end (of course, I would have liked the movie less if that happened, but that's just me). I also know some other people who dislike lots of romance in movies.

I agree with what some people 说 here on these post.But I also think maybe why other people don't like is " it's not accurate to history" 或者 something like that.I hear that quite a lot from another movie I like that's based off history and it's Pocahontas.I 爱情 the 迪士尼 Pocahontas alot and see nothing wrong with regardless if it's accurate 或者 not.And I think people should aprecaite it for a good family film regardless,but someone always got find something to put it down and they do the same thing with 泰坦尼克号 as well. I 爱情 泰坦尼克号 too like all of 你 it's one of my 最喜爱的 电影院 besides the 迪士尼 电影院 I like. Anyways I to get irtaited with people that says negative things about it! They way I see it screw them! If they don't like it,tuff it's their desion their loss! As long as we all like it and other people that might like it that's all that matters!

well it's sad and not everybody like a sad ending i mean who would like one i'ts a tragedy too

I suppose because few people like both the neo-romantic elements AND the hectic disaster-movie properties.

I know a lot of people who adore the Jack/Rose couple, and have seen all they're scenes dozens of times, but only viewed the sinking of the 泰坦尼克号 once and don't like to go over that part.

I've also experienced people who find the doom of the passengers and how they handled the situation fascinating but wish it was just that rather than two hours of romance.

I suppose it's just few people find common-ground between violence and tenderness.
