How come anything stops Gumball from 接吻 Penny?

ive noticed in any episode ive seen where gumball gets close to 接吻 penny,something always stops him.

true, what usually stops them from 接吻 is that they are both in will of keeping the suspense of the 爱情 in tact and they are too afraid to express their 爱情 for eachother.
