Frying Pan: An Appreciation Post

We first meet the frying pan at a really intense moment in its life.

It just helped Rapunzel protect herself from a really scary guy that jumped through the window. (Spoiler alert: that scary guy is actually the amazing Flynn Rider and he and the frying pan become pretty close later on.)

The frying pan helps Rapunzel feel strong and powerful (a feeling she’s not used to having because of her tower situation). It’s a real confidence booster.

It’s one of the things that Rapunzel can always rely on and it helps her stand up to all sorts of people. Random strangers, pub thugs, palace guards. You name ’em, the frying pan is there.

It’s especially useful in situations where piano keys are flying at your head due to an overly enthusiastic pub thug.

This is where Flynn and the frying pan become friends. The frying pan really comes through for him against the palace guards.

Rapunzel and Flynn almost lose it, but Flynn saves the frying pan from certain doom at the very last second.

We don’t see the frying pan again until the end of the film when we see MULTIPLE frying pans. Crime basically vanished overnight, and we think it’s definitely thanks to the frying pan’s good example.
