Meeting Dannie The Chinchilla. (Question in details)

Okay. So what if your character was walking down a city 街, 街道 and just so happen to hear something down an alleyway that sounded like a female laughing slightly. What would he/she do? Would your character try to explorer the noise 或者 try and avoid it. (Which probably wouldn't do any good. But it may be 更多 interesting if they ran. X'D)
