What are your opinions / stances on these two ideas?
"Kindness always pays off" and "Hard work always rewards"
Personally I am a bit doubtful of the Kindness one cause sometimes being too kind gets 你 taken advantage of and thus may not only never pay off but harm. I do agree that controlled and well considered kindness tends to pay off since that builds relationships and connections and those are a form of power and strength in the world and thus do tend to pay off in the long run, but it still takes a good amount of control.
On the other hand, I personally believe hard work ALMOST always pays off. There are some instances where it doesn't, but I subscribe to the belief that in a good majority of the cases, if someone has a strong plan and works hard and consistently to it, that 说 hard work and dedication will almost always pay off. Perhaps not to the degree 你 had hoped 或者 planned, but in the end 你 will walk out with a positive reward
I simply found the two statements interestingly similar and my stances towards them being different
