Idk, people fight for a multitude of reasons. Misunderstanding, clashing of opinions, something triggers them, something rubs them off the wrong way, idk, just a lot of different reasons.

Cuz people respond to negativity with 更多 negativity. Sad, but true. Even I'm guilty of this. It's not just Fanpop, though. 你 should see YouTube 评论 或者 IMDb message boards (before they decided to shut down the boards, of course). YouTube and IMDb have the worst people, though Fanpoppers are no saints, either.
Yeah, 你 know not all peoples can express their opinion well. Plus some butthurt, bigots, and trolls here, no wonder. And 潮流粉丝俱乐部 isn't only site where the users are fight each other
It is not just Fanpop. 你 will see fights pretty much everywhere. On other websites too (which I have seen far worse) as well as in real life. Not everyone can get along with each other. If 你 want a specifc reason it varies. Some just do it for fun, others because they want to get out some of their tension as there are also those who get offended pretty easily 或者 for no reason etc. Either immaturity 或者 mental condition on a specific moment can play a crucial role in that !!!!
