Why do 你 think we are so obsessed with selfies?

people are all like "you're self-obsessed" 或者 "this is the generation of masochism" but 你 know what

all that being the selfie generation means is that we're able to capture moments when we're happy and we feel good about ourselves

fuck the haters, body and self positivity aren't bad for society

I actually really hate selfies. I broke someone phone for taking them everywhere of nothing in my class xD

It's kind of like a competition: "Who gets the most likes on facebook" "Who's crush 评论 on their picture" We're all trying to compete with eachother, each girl comparing themselves to the other girls "Who's skinnier" "Who has the biggest bum" "Who has the best clothes" "Who has the longest hair" It all come down to what others think of us and that isn't right. The only person we should compare ourselves to is the person we were yesterday

To be honest I think they just turn out to be better 照片 than if someone else takes the photo. 你 know what 你 look like when taking them, so, if course they turn out better

I don't really take selfies but I take them because I look damn good in them lol.
...Though I look good anywhere :P Selfies mean I don't need to add anybody else with me xD

I personally look good ONLY on selfies. My smile is kinda weird, so when someone else takes me a picture, I look AWFUL, like an ugly clown 或者 something. When I take a selfie I can control my smile and be pretty. I think that everybody choses selfies because 你 look better, I mean, 你 see yourself when 你 take the photo. When someone asks me "let me take a picture of you", I just say "I'll do it myself".

I know 老友记 that cosplay a lot and they take selfies in their costumes and stuff so I guess it can build confidence and whatnot.
