my mom wont let me have my cell on school days?

k. so im getting a new phone...FINALLY!! im tutoring my brother 5 days a week for 2 hrs a 日 at $5/hr. thats $50 a week, so in about 2-3 weeks ill have my new phone. im really responsible and i have had straight a's all 年 this 年 (i was in 6th grade, now going to 7th, im 12) ive never had an average percentage lower than a 97. im going to be in algebra 1 in 7th grade, and im in the 99 percentile for both 阅读 and math eogs. 下一个 年 ill be raking in high school credit already. im really basically, a 'genius' as my 老友记 and family call me, responsible, obedient, sweet, voted most likely to become president. i was accepted into this national junior honor society leaders camp when i was 8. i deserved my phone! with unlimited texting!

but, my mom says i can use my phone all summer whenever i want and on weekends during the school year, but she 说 im not allowed to take my phone to school and im not allowed to use it on weekdays! i really seriously dont know why. we discussed it and i assured her i wouldnt be texting during school, and she 说 she didnt care. i told her i wouldnt lose my phone at school either. she told me she didnt want me distracted with a phone and texting on school days when im supposed to be doing homework. she also added that i already get to see my 老友记 at school so theres no point of talking to them again afterschool. but some of my 老友记 wont be in my classes and some of them are moving away! so texting is my only option.

is there any way i can convince my mom to let me use my phone on school days and to let me bring it to school? (she gets pissed really easily)

However, I do think that it would be reasonable for 你 to be able to have it after school, I see no problem with that.
I'm not going to encourage 你 though to persist to have it in school. 你 can go ahead, but I don't want to be the one to help 你 when I know what can happen. Believe me, phones are a big distraction in class. Sometimes the temptation can be a little too much, especially when everyone has theirs out.


I do hope high school goes well for 你 though, so I wish 你 luck with that! :)

Maybe since your grades are so high, she doesn't want 你 distracted 由 your phone during school days so your averages won't drop. It's understandable, but a little over doing it. Maybe she'll loosen up if 你 keep slightly saying something about it every now and then. Just call them on the 首页 phone.
