They're there so 你 can brag about it.
It can serve as a memory and such. It rewards a person so they know they are doing a great job contributing to Fanpop. That is, if 支持 are used correctly.

你 don't use them for anything. 你 just get them if someone like your pic 或者 评论 或者 something like that... 或者 in competitions :D
