'Carol,' 'Outlander' lead Golden Globe contenders in Twitter chatter

will find Jamie and Claire in France, but before the show forges ahead with new episodes, series star Caitriona Balfe reflected on a “pinch yourself” moment from the show’s first season.

Speaking with PEOPLE and EW on the Golden Globes red carpet on Sunday, where she was nominated for best actress in a drama series, Balfe was asked about her favorite scene from the show so far.

“There was a day Sam [Heughan] and I had to, we were on horseback and we had to build up to one of the battles,” she said. “We had this long line of an army coming behind us and we were galloping across the field and the sun was out you have the mountains in the background. Days like that, you’re just pinching yourself because you’re like, how did I get so lucky?”
