Harry, Niall, Louis, Liam and Zayn made the announcement in a video message this morning, after teasing 粉丝 on Twitter yesterday with a 'big announcement.'
"We want to say a massive thank 你 to 你 guys," Louis Tomlinson said. "'Cause we wouldn't be where we are today without you, so thank you."
The new song has been described as "an immediate, energy-packed song mixing rock undertones with smooth harmonies, and [is] about living for the moment," 音乐电视 reported.
Not long after the single drops on October 1, the band's 秒 studio album will be released in Novemeber — seeing the boys collaborate with the likes of Ed Sheeran and Tom Fletch

Zayn has publicly declared his 爱情 for the Little Mix singer, saying the three big words over Twitter.
"A very special happy birthday to my baby Perrie," Zayn tweeted. "Love you."
Perrie celebrated her birthday 由 going on a shopping spree with Zayn and her mother.
"They make a lovely couple," Perrie's mum recently revealed. "I really hope they make a go of it.
"I've been to his house and met the two of them with his mum and his three sisters, and I think they're really good for each other."
As Directioners may know, that 1D, concluded their first headlining US tour last Sunday (July 1) with a sold-out 音乐会 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. and the 下一个 day, they returned 首页 where they've gone their seperate ways until reuniting later on this 月 to continue working on their 秒 studio album, whose first single will be released this Fall.
