Markiplier Raises $75,000 For Charity With ‘Super Mario World’ Stream On Twitch

That money will go directly to the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance, which provides services for individuals suffering from mental illness. “Mental illness is too often looked down upon as far as medical treatment goes,” wrote Markiplier. “Too much doubt and misunderstanding surrounds these subjects and it needs to be addressed with the same seriousness as physical illnesses.”

Charity is nothing new for Markiplier; he regularly live streams to support causes he believes in, and his charitable efforts have raised more than $500,000 in total. He also recently received the opportunity to meet the Vice President, so it’s been a pretty good couple of months for the 25-year-old gamer.
