Because it did not sell well in Japan. Yes, JAPAN. For a Japanese anime, it doesn't matter how 流行的 it is outside japan. It could be 流行的 in the US, Canada, Spain, Philippines, 你 name it! BUT THE BOTTOM LINE IS, if it sells like crap in Japan, like Maid-sama did, there will be NO 秒 season. Maid-sama averaged 800 copies per volume. That is a MAJOR LOSS.




For an 日本动漫 to at least not be a loss, it MUST sell 2500-3000 copies. 秒 seasons are considered only if it has 6000 copies 或者 more.
