Luke Evans is in negotiations for the role of Gaston in the upcoming live action version of

The 35-year-old actor will be playing opposite Emma Watson, who is set to star as Belle.

Luke is no stranger to musicals – he has starred in many West End productions in London, England such as Rent, Miss Saigon, and Piaf. We know he’ll be able to belt out those Gaston tunes with ease!

No official word has been passed down from Disney just yet.
