Justin Bieber Is About To Heat Up The 2015 MTV EMA Stage
Sorry not \'sorry\' -- JB will take the stage in Milan on Oct. 25.
The 2015 MTV EMA just got a whole lot hotter thanks to the addition of our favorite Canadian crooner: Justin Bieber!
The “What Do You Mean” singer will take the stage in Milan, Italy for the star-studded award show, which airs Oct. 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
Bieber announced the news on Facebook on Thursday (Oct. 22), promising to see us all on Sunday.
“I’m excited to share this performance and this new material with my fans around the world,” Bieber said in a press release. “The EMAs are always a blast. I’m glad to be back and it’s going to be fun.”
Hmm… “new material”… does that mean we can expect to see him perform his new single “Sorry,” which drops Friday? We’ll have to wait and see!
Along with his sure-to-be-epic performance, Bieber also boasts six EMA nominations this year: Worldwide Act: North America, Best Pop, Best Male, Best Look, Best Collaboration (for “Where Are U Now”) and Biggest Fans. He’s won the Best Male category every year from 2010-14, so he’s aiming for his sixth straight victory.
Bieber is no stranger to the EMA stage — he previously performed his hits “Mistletoe” and “Never Say Never” (holy throwback!) at the 2011 show. But in the midst of a chart-topping comeback and a new album,
, arriving Nov. 13, this may be one of his biggest performances to date (next to that tearful VMA performance, of course).
Bieber joins an already incredible lineup of previously announced performers: Pharrell Williams, Ed Sheeran & Rudimental, Ellie Goulding, Jason Derulo, twenty one pilots, Martin Garrix, Afrojack, Tori Kelly, James Bay, Jess Glynne, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Andrea Bocelli.
Presenters at the show include Charli XCX, Hailey Baldwin, Tinie Tempah, Ashley Benson, Fifth Harmony, Mark Ronson, Martin Garrix and Shay Mitchell. And with co-hosts Sheeran and Ruby Rose lording over the festivities, ANYTHING is possible.
Voting for all award categories is still open, but not for long! Head over to ema.mtv.com through Oct. 24 at 11:59 p.m. CET to cast your vote for your fave artists, including Best U.S. Act nominees Beyonce, Nick Jonas, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift.
