I'm shocked, and I actually feel bad for Cameron fans. I say that, even though people know I don't really like Cameron, because if it was Lisa they were getting rid of, then I'd feel the same and EXPECT people to sympathise with Cuddy fans and not gloat.

I hope you guys stick around, and aren't deterred from watching the show after this announcement. She hasn't been killed off, so she can come back.

okay. I am gonna try five minutes of giving the ilusion as to talk calmly. Cameron was a great character. She really was. And i'm sorry (truly, deeply) for any of the following insensitivity. I'm sad. But not really. 'Cause this rocks. I just want you all to understand that this is an "OMG my ships has won!" moment as opposed to an "OMG cameron is leaving" moment. I'm not happy she's leaving. I'm happy i've won.

wow. gotta say, i'm rather indifferent. I feel bad for fans of cameron, and if this were cuddy i'd be devastated. but since cameron has really been at the back of the past few seasons, it's hard for me to feel like this will really impact the show. since this probably means a chameron divorce... can i just say what happened to chase's speech at the end of UMS??

House is going to suck, the season premiere dissapointed me. And now JM is leaving, I will miss her. I'm sad and don't expect nothing from House and its writers.

Sad! Only hope now, they're not just hiring new characters but bring back the clinic scenes or show more of Wilson and Cuddy.
Also, on the bright side - Amber and Kutner leaving has brought us some grrrrreat scenes. Let's hope Cameron leaving does that, too. Also - she's not dead, she'll be back!

The sow is the best ever.. and all they do is kill off the characters and get them out the show... they r so ruining it!!!! this isn't going anywhere beside to the hell.. as well as the damn writers... I really hope they won't do it... it will ruin the sow.. there r ppls that want her out, but there r many many more ppls who want her in......

Here's to hoping they let her go with a BANG rather than brush her off as if she were never there.

This is actually kind of sad for me.
I really didn't like Camerons character later on in the seasons, but, I will admit, I started watching this show when I was in 5th grade, and dare I say it... I was a Hameron fan. It's just kinda depressing.:((

Don't know what to say. I don't understand this decision. I never was Cameron fan but i liked her. It's really sad that she leaves. As Lizzie said it's sad to see an original cast member leave the show. Lately she hadn't many screen time but show will be differen without her. Strange.
Even though I'm hard dying Huddy and Cuddy fan I really feel sorry for Cameron/Hameron and Chasemeron fans. It's really heartbrakeing.

Honestly, if Thirteen will die befor the end of the show - I'll stop watch House. Yeah, it sounds supid, but I feel that without Cameron and later Thirteen there is no much point in watching this show. Even not for House or Wilson.

I understand everyone is angry and upset, but for all we know, Jmo wanted to leave, if she didn't she would have put up a fight. I have to disagree with the people above me who think because she is leaving it instantly makes the show the worst season ever, and turning into GA (Which FYI it isn't!)

This season is going to be the best yet, so don't take your anger out on the show, and it's writers. They do an awesome job, and what your saying (without knowing the full story as to why she is leaving) is disrespectful. Even if it was Cuddy who was leaving, and not Cameron, I would never diss the show, or the writers.

Fabouluz, I'm sure that if it was Cuddy instead of Cameron you would be pissed like hell and you won't have the will power to watch the show without her.

And she's leaving because a fight or something she has with Chase over a patient and then House gets involved and well - Screw everything.

As a Cameron fan and a BIG House MD fan - I'm just really pissed about the work the writers and the producers are doing with all of the Cameron stuff. I think it's sucks and lame and to be honest, season 5 sucked, and now after I know Cameron will leave I start to doubt my love and respect for the show.

Well, I didn't know that Jmo wanted to leave I'm happy to hear that I just read it was a creative decision and that usually comes from the writers or whoever decides that.

Lol the grey's anatomy thing is something one can argue about - imo the show is becoming a little like grey's.
I see grey's as a show where's a little too much relationships going on.
The early seasons of House didn't have much of that - now it's getting more and more with all the Chameron, Foreteen, Huddy, Wilber dramas and even David Shore said in an interview that they will concentrate on the relationships :/ That's generall not bad, but it could get easily too much now and they might forget the medical part of the show - as in grey's.
Other similarities - Someone having hallucination sex *whistles*

And yeah, I'm sure that for obsessed Huddy fans this is gonna be the best season ever...

Olivine, what do you expect for writers to do? If they sticked to just the procedural drama, without relationship aspects to the show, you wouldn't be happy because there would be no House/Cam and Cam/Chase stuff going on, so it would just be the most bland show on tv.

AND, GA is ALL about the relationships, whereas House is a good balance of both relationships AND the medicine.

Also, I would be pissed too if it was Cuddy leaving, because Cuddy has been in every season so far, and has played an important part. Unlike Jmo, who wasn't in a full 2 SEASONS, so it's not like fans who aren't that invested in the show like we are, are going to care. I told my friends and family that she was leaving just now, and they just shrugged it off, because they aren't obsessed like all of us are.

A minority of fans won't watch for the first week, maybe two weeks, but then they'll give it up and go back to watching it.

Uhm....ouch. I think my heart just broke.

I started to sob when I first found out about two hours ago. Chameron has been, and will continue to be, my favorite ship, and one of the major reasons I watched House was to see Cameron grow and expand. We were supposed to get the best season ever. Chase and Cameron were coming back, there were rumors of Foreteen finally ending (thank goodness)... It all seemed too good to be true. I was even excited when I learned about Chase's euthanasia arc because it meant we would finally get a decent Chameron storyline.

I know that I will continue to watch the show, but I can't help but wonder if this will be the final season on House MD. With Cameron leaving, they've uset all of the Cameron, Chameron, and, yes, even the Hameron fans (I'm acknowledging that you guys exist, that's how upset I am, okay, Hamerons?). Ratings will drop.

Great job, David Shore and Katie Jacobs. Thanks for nothing.

@Fab: The House/Cam and Cam/Chase stuff isn't why I watch the show. (in fact i don't even like cam/chase) I watch the show because of the characters and they can develop without sooo much relationship stuff going on. Didn't say they should get rid off all the relationship-stuff - just a little less like in earlier seasons.

I am not a Hameron I am not a Huddy I dont ship real ships on this show. I dont yell at anyone, ever.
So yes I do have REAL compassion for people. thats who i am. And if it was Lisa who was leaving i would be comforting people because i have many friends that are major huddy. Maybe you should get to know someone before you start putting them down.

I know what die-hard fans are like in situations like this, emotions just take over.

And I have real compassion. I truly feel bad for the Cameron fans.

Yeah, she wasn't that involved in the past 2 seasons, but at least we saw her for couple of minutes! And to be honest, I lived on those minutes, and now that I know I won't even get those 2 minutes, I'm just really pissed.
And no, I won't stop watching the show only because of that! It's just that I think the show isn't good as it used to be...
I had so many expectations about the 6th season, but know that I know that Cameron will leave it's just bring me back to think this show is no as good as it used to be, and if I'll see that this season is going to suck [and I think it will] I'll just stop watch it. You know what they say - The biggest's the expectation the biggest's the disappointment...

Eh, I'm pretty apathetic on the whole Cameron issue. I feel bad for true Cameron fans I suppose, but she's always been a "take it or leave it" character for me.

As for some other comments, I think it's a bit presumptuous to say this will end the show (or this season will suck, blah blah blah *insert negative comment about the show as a whole here*) considering we've only seen one episode (well, two if you want to get really technical I suppose). I truly don't mean this offensively, but it's not like Cameron has had a particularly large role in the show the past couple of seasons. Initially, what we've heard about some of the writers' decisions has caused different people to think the show will jump the shark or whatever, but things have always worked out.

I'm pretty interested in how they will actually write Cameron out of the show. Like Bery said, she's been on there for a while and was once a significant part (please don't take that the wrong way, I just don't know how else to phrase it) so she deserves to go out with a bang.

I can´t say I´m sad. I feel sorry but I´m actually ok with this. I just hope the writters would do something nice for her. Not just a stupid thing like Cam/Chase divorce or Cam having a baby.

well i don't blame her for quitting the show at all, she is basically ignored on House. u know what i wanted to see happen?

I am not watching. This really, unfortunately, is the last straw for me.

Cameron and the old ducklings were what made this show great. As i've repeatedly said, forcing what the audience doesn't want down our throats is not a good strategy. The show will suffer - maybe not immediately, but it won't last as long as it could have.

I hope Jen is happy wherever she goes - she deserves so much better than the crap she's put up with from the producers. I also can't believe Hugh, as an executive producer, wouldn't do more to save her. I really am disgusted with them all.

I don't think it's wise to come to conclusions this early, especially with so little information about ''Why, how, what''. Speculating just puts more fuel on the fire. We will have to wait and see how they'll do this.

I used to be a huge fan, but after putting Chase and Cameron on the back burner while he got himself that bland ridiculous new team, made me loose interest in the show altogether. And now they do this.......

Yes Laurie is the star, and a charismatic one at that but a show is only as good as its cast and its never been a "1-man show" I hate how they treated their supporting cast (like they are just replaceable as wallpaper) and this only furthers that opinion. Truly sad.
