worried
Tell me if I am wrong and if you think differently:

From Broken to Known Unknowns: steps forward

Teamwork and ignorance is blissed: huge steps back

Wilson and The Down Low: steps forward

Remorse: huge step back

From Moving the chains up to now: huge steps forward...

Must I be worried now? XD The pattern lacks the steps back....:P

You should be worried but hopefully only in the short term. If you look at your analysis mathematically (like questions on a standardized test), perhaps the next moves will follow the earlier pattern since your last entry seems to start another sequence (with the first huge steps forward) - step backward, huge steps forward, step backward, huge steps forward, etc. Hopefully, Huddy is trending upward. Yikes, this is way to analytical.

surprise
you can never analyze too much!! (well actually you can but thats beside the point lol). I love when people write these articles because it allows us to look at a character deeper and gives us something to muse over. i think they are right. lockdown is probably going to be either another step forward for house or another one back. i hope its forward :)

@Lizzie
I was kidding! XD I think it's too analytical too :D I found it funny watching House in this perspective and I give it a try, ep by ep. You must admit, though, it's freaking true XD There truly is some pattern after all....this really scares the hell out of me XD

@HJ
Eheh! Thanks for your support on my little mind game :D I love Barbara BTW, she is so insightful and I think I have been posting around for months all the thoughts she shared in her article. I totally agree with her on her interpretation...the way she links episodes and lines throughout seasons. I do think this is the way House should be watched on a deepest level.

Of course Lizzie I don't mean we can't enjoy House being less analytica. It's such an amazing show anyway...Just find it fun to see beyond the lines and the eps' structure ;)

@ Beatrix8520 Just watching some season 1 episodes on Bravo and was struck by how often House has said "do the math" in various situations over the seasons. In Barbara's article, DS saying two steps forward, three steps back for House was probably his storyline guide at the outset. Since that mathematical progression is unsustainable over the long haul, there has to be a paradigm shift sometime, and I'm thinking that this season (6) is where the steps flip and we get the new, more positive sequence - three steps forward, two steps back. Oops, this is even more geeky but, at least, hopeful.

I'm proud of you...geeky-bea. Thanks for BB link.

Good article, per usual, though it has a tinge of sadness or fatalism..like House's future is predetermined & there is nothing we can do about it.
(Except speculate...only to "accept" the ultimate outcome).

In literal terms, the equation of 2-steps forward & 3-steps back.. adds up to a long journey for House.

I am so fed up with sadness and fatalism! :OOOOO

Why on earth my favorite damn show must be the most sad and doomed one? Why???!!!

Because thats what makes it our favorite show. Love the analysis by the way. I enjoyed the article, very insightful and it made me think a bit differently about the show. a little depth and a break from all the huddy =) hoping the next step for house will only be forward.
BTW- i don't know what about you guys, but i enjoy house's sadness and fatalism. I think it's a lot more realistic, close and touching than all the "getting human". Guess thats just me. what do you think?
