Hey, anyone used baking soda to remove build ups in your hair? If so, does it damage our hair??????

Yesterday I bought the baking soda. I heard it removes build up on the hair. But, when I read at the back that it can be used to clean 厨房 and stuff, I'm scared it's gonna damage my dry,coarse,frizzy hair instead of improving.
