Blaine spends all summer contacting Kurt Hummel, who hasn't figured out what to do after getting rejected in NYADA. Kurt insists on getting another audition. After finding out that he didn't get in, Rachel Berry encourages Kurt in auditioning again and getting through Carmen Tibideaux's mind. Lea Michele Sarfati was born in The Bronx, New York to parents Edith and Marc Sarfati. Her mother, a nurse, is Italian American and Roman Catholic, while her father, a delicatessen owner, is of Spanish-Sephardic Jewish ancestry. Even though she was born in New York, Lea was raised in Tenafly, New Jersey where she eventually attended and graduated from Tenafly High School.
