\'Game of Thrones\' Season 5: How do the Sand Snakes top the Red Viper?

The Red Viper might be dead on "Game of Thrones," but he\'s certainly not forgotten. Season 5 is introducing the members of Oberyn Martell\'s extended family, and his three bastard daughters -- known as the Sand Snakes -- are out for vengeance.

Keisha Castle-Hughes plays Obara Sand, the eldest of the Red Viper\'s illegitimate children. Speaking to Zap2it at the "Game of Thrones" Season 5 premiere, she says, "The Sand Snakes are going to give everyone a really good introduction to [new setting Dorne]."

The land of Dorne, which was filmed in Spain, is in the southernmost part of the Seven Kingdoms. Castle-Hughes calls it a "pretty spectacular place that\'s very different to anywhere else in Westeros. It\'s sunny, it\'s hot; people are a bit happier in general."

The Sand Snakes aren\'t going to be very happy when viewers meet them, though. They\'re out to get revenge for Oberyn\'s death, which happened during a trial by combat where he fought and died on behalf of Tyrion Lannister in King\'s Landing back in Season 4.

"They\'re all madly, madly in love with their father, and they\'re all pretty bada** and fierce with their weapons," Castle-Hughes says. "They\'ve been brought up by a man who was dead-set on avenging his sister\'s death his whole life, so this is what they know to do."

Even though the Sand Snakes\' storyline is so entwined with the Red Viper\'s, Castle-Hughes and her onscreen sisters, Rosabell Laurenti Sellers and Jessica Henwick, haven\'t yet met -- or even spoken to -- Pedro Pascal, who played Oberyn.

"As a cast member it was a lot to live up to, because we were entering onto set, and every single crew member would be like, \'Oh my god, Pedro\'s the best person in the world.\' We\'d be like, \'Oh, but we\'re cool, right?\'" Castle-Hughes recalls with a laugh. "I do hope that one day I get to meet him. I\'m going to put it out there: Pedro Pascal, I want you."

"Game of Thrones" Season 5 premieres on April 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.
