Why do people like Jon Snow so much?

Yep, what Ala8ia said: we have read the books. He just continues to impress me 更多 & more. There have been some instances when I thought he was going to screw up royally but then he pulled it all back together. Had he had a 更多 vindictive nature, his story could have gone in a very different, dangerous, ultimately disastrous direction.

I think he should be a really 苦 kid but he's not. He makes the best of whatever situation he finds himself in. On the 显示 we have seen him mature quite a bit, mostly due to the fact that he has a teachable spirit. What's not to love?

P.S. He doesn't have to be relevant to the plots (although he is, somewhat). The happenings at the 墙 are a plot all on their own, with as much relevance to the story as a whole as the others.

He's a very important character, as 你 have not read the 图书 I suppose you'll just have to keep watching. 你 说 你 didn't mind spoilers, and without giving anything specific away he's one of the few 'original' (as in is in the 图书 from the very beginning) who is still alive in the 图书 to date.

I have to disagree with what the others are saying. Jon is a much, MUCH better character in the 显示 than the books.
In the books, he's nothing but a whiny, angst-ridden Marty Stu. Over the course of the series, there are literally hundreds of pages devoted exclusively to his tortured, woe-is-me monologing. Add to that the fact that he is good at EVERYTHING, fighting, strategizing, spying, planning, everything, and you've got possibly one of the "best" examples of a Marty Stu ever.
你 know how whiny and annoying Luke Skywalker is? Well, imagine if he had actually NARRATED 星, 星级 Wars, and you've got Jon Snow of the books. "Oh, no one loves me, I've got it so hard, I'm a bastard, I'm so handsome and clever and good at everything and I'm the only one in the world who has problems!" SHUT UP, SNOW.
Oh, and the only reason I say he's a better character in the 显示 is we're not forced to endure his painful monologs, like we are in the books.

*ahem* Well, anyway. As 你 might have noticed, I'm not exactly Jon's biggest fan. xD

ivent read the 图书 yet so i can tell for the show.
I 爱情 jon snow because first, of the actor who plays him: he is sweet and adorable
and i just 爱情 him 哈哈 , i dont know why , ive always had a soft spot for sweet but strong characters , i 爱情 that he is a great fighter but also a great 老友记 to rely on , he loves his family 更多 than anything and i 爱情 when he make mistakes

I read somewhere that the 总体, 整体 story arch of the 图书 can be broken down into 3 distinct 'sections' that are;

1. The struggle between the families vying for the thrown
2. The story of Daenerys,
3. What goes on at the wall.

As I have not read the 图书 yet, I can't say for certain but it does look to me that Jon's purpose is to lead the story of #3. So far, excluding that opening scene in the premier, we've only seen the story develop through his perspective, so what goes on beyond the 墙 had been limited up until the finale. I'm guessing the 秒 season will spend a lot 更多 time exploring this storyline, since they spent all of season 1 establishing it.

People like to identify with characters who are loners/outcasts/underdogs of a sort. (take Peter Parker, Harry Potter, Bruce Wayne, etc) Because Jon is a bastard he's an outsider, though at no fault of his own. He can't dine with the Stark family, can't have the Stark name 或者 have any of the same rights of his half brothers and sisters, and his father's wife Catelyn loathes him (as if children chose their parents 或者 even asked to be born).
Although we can tell this adversity bothers Jon, he tries to take it in stride and tries to be a man with integrity, a man his father would approve of. He remains a likeable character. I think the same goes for Daenerys, she's a loner in some ways but finds strength in struggleadversity.
In contrast, Theon Greyjoy and Viserys are also kind of loners but definitely 更多 UNlikeable.
Might also help that the actor who plays Jon Snow, Kit Harrington, is pretty :)

i haven't read the 图书 yet...i don't think i understand the whole thing but almost all of my 老友记 爱情 him because he's a pretty and they call him "nice fellow"^^i think of him like 50/50.he has some kind of charming 或者 something like that.and everything he does smells like power.and of course he's just "a little bastard" so people can't stand of watching a poor guy suffering because of his unsuccessful origin.people just can't NOT feel about him so maybe that's why he's so popular^^ i'm so sorry for my poor eng

Jon Snow is the lovechild of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark.

This is a spoiler: It is a 流行的 opinion that he is part Targaryen, son of Rhaeger and Ned Stark's sister. He should be one of the riders of Dany's dragon's when she comes to King's Landing.

Jon Snow is hands down the protagonist of SoIaF. He is the quintessential "Hero", always trying to do good and constantly battles to find the greater good. He has all the characteristics of a hero: he is handsome, has great combat skills, and he has 更多 "honor" than anyone on the show, save Lord Eddard Stark. Some might argue that Robb Stark is 更多 like his lord father, and therefore is the honorable character in SoIaF, once Lord Stark is beheaded. I think that Jon Snow has 更多 honor than his half brother. He has to constantly choose between what is the right thing to do in the most difficult of situations. He always chooses the right answer, no matter what happens. Robb on the other hand goes with his gut on most matters, and makes many wrong decisions, such as marrying Jeyne Westerling even though he was betrothed to one of Lord Frey's daughters.
I think Jon Snow is liked so much because he is the only character in SoIaF that is truly "good". I think this is actually funny because he is a bastard, who in SoIaF are supposed to be hostile human beings. Well, hope this answered your question.

It's not impossible not to like him. But since that isn't the answer, I will just 移动 on.
First, it's his bastard birth. Most people 爱情 those who had a hard childhood, 或者 a tragic experience...well, 你 get the picture.
Secondly, he seems more...human. Eddard is too formal, Catelyn too rational, Sansa too proper. So Jon and Arya are the only ones that aren't that...uh, I just can't find any words to put in.
Thirdly, he's the odd one out, and attracts 更多 attention than the rest.

I think the thing is he is so honourable, and considers things carefully. He is very kind and seems to help people that are weaker than him. I like he's the strong silent type but he also seemed very loving to Ygritte. In the TV 显示 he's also very handsome.

I haven't read the books, just started tonight. Jon was raised in a well-known family as a step-child. Having been raised in a similar fashion myself, I feel he is relatable. I feel most people root for the underdog in stories and Jon is definitely that. He also is a noble kid who tries his best to make the right decisions with whatever knowledge he has. He's basically a good boy that 你 want to see grow up and succeed.

I don't dislike him and I think that he is very relevant to the story (or the situation that he is in is relevant), as through him we get to see what's going on at and north of the wall.
But as 你 may have gathered (if 你 read my Jon Snow related question), I'm not quite sure what all the fuss is about surrounding him. He seems to be a bit of a stereotypical screen hero to me - dark haired, brave, agile, clever and everything really. He seems to have no bad traits, which doesn't make for a hugely interesting 或者 realistic character. I haven't read the 图书 so I can't 评论 on whether this is George Martin's 或者 the programme makers fault.
