My parents think their stinky and wont let me get one HELP!!!!

Odor and De-scenting

One of the most common statements about ferrets is that they have a bad smell. Most of a ferret's odour results from the influence of sex hormones on normal skin secretions. These secretions are drastically reduced when the 鼬, 雪貂 is altered.

Being distantly related to skunks, ferrets also have anal scent glands that they can release at will, though they rarely spray unless they are fighting, mating 或者 frightened. Descenting involves the removal of these scent glands, which are located at the base of the tail. Although ferrets do not need to be descented, if 你 wish to eliminate the possibility of an unpleasant experience should your pet be frightened in a public place, consider having this done. Hygiene

Use a good quality "no-tears" human shampoo, preferably with a conditioner, which allows 你 to wash the 鼬, 雪貂 from nose to tail without causing any discomfort to the eyes. Be sure to wash around your ferret's neck and face, as there are additional scent glands located on the cheeks.

wipe them down with a rag,or bathe them,weekly,change litter weekly.smell is reduced 由 20%.brush their teeth,and clean the cage,dont let the 食物 sit under the water bottle,it grows mold(they eat cat food).

well, is the 鼬, 雪貂 a boy 或者 girl? my friend 说 girls don't smell as much. i don't have a 鼬, 雪貂 because i don't have room and my parents say they smell... but i see my friend's 鼬, 雪貂 often and it doesn't smell at all! also, her's is a girl.
