Yeah. Tiana, Kida, and Pocahontas make me uncomfortable. Mulan had more covering, so I don't know why she's at the top.

audreybrooke, just out of curiosity, how are these exploitative? This is how most girls look going to the beach...

^^ For the record, I think the over-sexualization of women in general is extremely exploitative, even though it's a societal issue. That includes beachwear and beauty pageants.

These play into the whole gross culture of the male gaze and the exploitation of young women. Most of the princesses in this series are underage! Even though they're fictional, it's really disgusting to me and is emblematic of a larger issue.

audreybrooke, if to "exploit" means "to use unfairly to one's advantage" then I don't understand how this is exploitative of the DPs because no one is getting an advantage from showing them this way? Also, who is to say what is sexual? How is beachwear that sexual when it's out in public in front of children and family? This is just how some women like to dress, especially when it comes to beachwear, so I'm a bit confused- are you trying to say that women who dress in a way that you perceive as being sexual are actually exploiting themselves? I'm not trying to argue with you but just wondering as I am a bit confused on how this would be exploiting of women in general.

I would also just add that the princesses are only underage for modern society and in their own time they would not have been considered as young as we consider them to be today. Relative to their time most of them were actually young women not girls.
