Belle is very pessimistic in my opinion. Every time someone would attack the Beast, and when Gaston went to hurt the Beast, she always blamed herself saying, "Oh, its my fault, its all because of me." She always blames herself.

I don't think blaming yourself is being pessimistic (and I don't remember Belle ever blaming herself any other time anyway, normally she ignores or justifies every bad choice).

@audreyfreak, she actually does ALOT in the movie. :)

She's crying like there's no hope when the three fairies said she's betrothed to Prince Phillip.

She never stops and think to see if her wedding one of the suitors could have good times. She's not really optimistic through any of the movie, imo.

the moment she finds out she is a princess she just goes... that's that. no hope for her future or a way to escape. accepts her fate and cries

Coolsinger - A lot? I don't remember it... Well, Belle was blaming herself because she showed the Beast in the mirror to townspeople. And that is not being pessimistic, IMO.

Anyway, Aurora or Merida.
