Wait a minute, wait a minute, doing things he wouldn't necessarily do?! What the hell does that mean?! He's already redeemed himself, why throw him back?! You know what, you know what, I don't even care. Because no matter WHAT he does, Elena will forgive him. She has redeemed him, she has purified him and made him a better person in every sense. In this book, she is going to get a HUGE motherf*cking hammer, like a GIANT hammer, and slam that rock to little bitty pieces. She will see all his secrets, see all his love and she will realize that she loves him too. Everything she finds, she will see in a completely different light. That stone, containing everything inside him, will only be for Elena. She will finally see his love for her, it will be fantastic. But I swear to FUCKING god, if BONNIE is the one to crack it open... LJS taught me many things about literature, that no sentence, paragraph, dialogue or passage is insignificant. And a whole BOOK, dedicated completely to Damon and Elena's journey? It was the BEST book in the series and took the largest significance. DE will be endgame. It will. I have no doubt in my mind. LJS is freaking VAGUE though, she is so very very vague. But, it definitely says something when she says that SHADOW SOULS was her favorite book to write, it tells us that she probably believes in DE as much as we do. That is very good, young ones, that is very good.

Well, I have mixed feelings about this. I am happy that she obviously enjoys writing about the Delena relationship & Shadow Souls. BUT, I dont like that what is said is sorta implying that Damon might do something bad to Elena (physically, mentally, etc.) I dont c him doing anything too drastic cuz he loves Elena so much. I am happy that he still loves her even tho he isnt a vamp anymore, proving that he doesnt just want her cuz of her aura/power, etc. (Others have said this, not me). I hope it doesnt get too overboard like on the show with Damon snapping Jeremys neck type of situation. Or if Damon goes after Bonnie cuz he cant be with Elena, etc. or anything over the edge, Im done. Im still keeping Delena confidence, but I still dont like the millions of spec/mixed tone that this answer sent out. JMO.

come on Elena. take advantage of Damon being human. get pregnant or something lol

i think she means to read SS if we get worried after reading her answer... to make us remember what happened in SS, because it was important...
or she's saying that she lead us on too much just like Elena did with Damon in SS and now feels guilty because nothing will happen:( thats the worst option:(
what i don't understand is: LJ keeps saying she follows her emotions when she writes. To me she clearly prefers Damon so i don;t get why she won;t make him get the girl:( i know i would...
and what could possibly Damon do? he can do anything and she says he will do something he wouldn't normally so...
And yes unfortunately i think Delena may yet again not be endgame in Midnight, but there are more books coming after so who knows...
Also if Stefan takes elena back after finding out what happened in SS he;s a looser and Elena is simply a loose girl... Cause she simply used Damon and cheated on Stefan and she doesn;t deserve neither of them

Well, Im a bit worried now cuz I went over to fanforum & someone said that LJ Smith sent em an e-mail that SE come close to making love in Midnight. I dont know what to make of this. LJ did say we have no reason to believe that Stefan would get the girl & that the triangle would go beyond Midnight, but Im just sick of all the Stelena propping after all of the progress Delena have made. This just bugs me is all.

I think L.j.smith prefers Delena and said that it's a love triangle for Stelena Fans. and notice she says that Stefan is in the way of Delena not Damon for Stelena .

A teaser for Midnight? Whats up with all of the tidbits being more SE & less DE after SS? I still hold out hope, but still ya know.

dont forget that its the DAMON trilogy
shadow souls was focused on delena but now that damon is human , everything is new to him so romance isnt his priority now
