He was never honest with her not even when they consummated their relationship, which is downright disgusting. There is no truth, no honesty n no passion in SE's relationship then how the fuck is Stefan the 'perfect' boyfriend? A guy who can't accept his own existence, a guy who masks his true self in favor of others approval, a guy who let the love of his life die, a guy who doesn't care the least about his own brother's happiness, a guy who can't love unconditionally, a guy who treats the love of his life like a problem that needs to be fixed, a guy who never once apologized to Elena for the hell he put her through, should not even be considered a boyfriend IMO. Every girl would go with Damon, not because he is hot but because he doesn't fake who he is. A guy who fights for love, forgiveness n redemption, a guy who loves Elena with everything he has, a guy who has started loving her family n friends, a guy who has always been honest about his mistakes n deserves love the most, a guy who believes that his brother deserves happiness n to get the girl he loves. I know Damon is snarky, stubborn n headstrong but he is also this honest devoted guy with a beautiful selfless soul. He is challenging n adventurous n that does wonders for a girl's self confidence. Yes Damon has made a lot of mistakes but he has learned from them. He is appreciative n content with everything he has in life. Stefan, on the other hand, is ungrateful n pathetic. Sorry, it was too long! but I can't fathom how people can even consider Stefan a guy, a girl would even be with. Damon Salvatore, with his wit n sarcasm, with his unconditional love n honesty, with his adventurous n challenging self, is the perfect boyfriend in the world. And Ian! Thanks for not letting your character get dragged away in the dirt by these immature SE fans! because we all know Damon is the most amazing person ever.
