When I think of my favorite characters, they all have diverse and unique personalities.Although due to my cuteness proximity, I have a thing for the cute characters and shrinking violets. I also like the unstable characters, but seriously I don't think I really have a type for anything.

^I agree. I like all kinds of characters with different personalities. I've also always had a thing for cute characters.

I've been trying to figure out what common ground my favorite characters have but so far just as soon as I come up with something they all have I remember a character I love that goes against all of that. For the most part, I suppose, my favorites are all pretty calculated, intelligent, unstable, and walking the line between light and dark (usually I fall for dark anti-heroes (but not the mainstream ones), or villains who are slightly less evil than normal).

But again, many of my favorite characters are exceptions to those terms. So no, not really lol.

Not always; but I have a thing for the elegant, mature feminine ladies and the flawed tomboys.

I mean I have favorite character traits (compassion, resilience, courage and initiative and the ability to balance kindness with not taking shit from others) so a lot of my favorites - Miguel, Miriam, Little Creek, Nani, Asenath - tend to have all or most of those things in common.

But I also gravitate toward characters I can better relate to - characters who snark a lot and those who aren't especially brave or "noble" at the outset (Tulio, Chel, Elsa, Aaron). And even some villains like Frollo and Rameses who have good intentions but get brought down by very human flaws. A lot of it boils down to how well they pull off what they're supposed to be, I guess... if that makes sense.

I generally like dreamy, imaginative characters and witty, clever characters.

For example my 2 favourite DPs are Jasmine & Cinderella, who are completely dissimilar.

I don't think so. My favorite characters of all time don't seem to have much in common personality wise.
