Thanks missmckena. I myself have not read any Buffy comics yet, mainly becuase I'm afraid of being dissapointed. As the author of this article said, there's a big difference between TV and comic books. Fighting, talking, personalities...they all change in the comic book world. While I am a huge Buffy fan, I want to remain a huge Buffy fan...and I'm afraid the comic books may dampen my enthusiasm. Heck, I was worried that the animated series (which unfortunately never came to pass) wouldn't be as good as the original. I probably will end up reading the comics some day, but right now my parents have informed me that if another buffy book/pic or other memorablia enters this house...they will take away my computer. :) So for now, I remain sceptical...and afraid that the comics will be just what this author suggests...to much dessert after a big meal acoompanied with a stomach ache.
As someone who actually reads the comics, I completely disagree. Although the author makes good points about Chosen, they clearly aren't that big of a fanatic as to not be begging for more. I guess it's just a question of how bad do you want it?
