The new season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine features the return of Jake from his undercover FBI assignment and when he comes back, his mission will be to continue his pursuit of Amy.

TVLine recently caught up with Melissa Fumero to discuss how the show planned on handling the forbidden romance.

“I think fans will be surprised by how it all goes down, how Jake handles it.” The actress talked about Amy’s current relationship with Teddy and how this will impact how Jake plans to continue.

“We definitely will hear his name [Teddy] a bunch throughout the first episodes, and I think we will see [Kyle Bornheimer] again,” she said. “Teddy and Amy are still really going strong.”
