I really wish that he hadn't left and I'm a huge Buffy/Angel fan, but at the same time I understand why he did. It gave both characters time to grow and learn about themselves. That said, I think 天使 should have come back after a 年 或者 two. That would have been amazing! Then 天使 and Buffy could have been together forever.
I really wished 天使 didn't leave because I adored Buffy and 天使 relationship..even though it was hard..they were AMAZING. I didn't get to watch any of the 天使 episodes but one, but I really think he shouldn't have left, because when I watch an episode without Angel..it just seems off for me...??? But it's alright :3 <3
No! Of course not! If he hadn't, Spike wouldn't have gotten his icky, disgusting hands all over buffy, and she wouldn't have had a relationship with him! No offense, of course, intended to all half/partial spuffy fans- I'm a hardcore bangeler.
天使 should have never left!!!! 或者 at least they should have made him come back a bit later in the series!!! I am totally Bangel, I liked Spike but prefered 天使 so much!!! I think they should have let 天使 and Buffy be together!!! Whether it was at the end of Buffy the vampire slayer 或者 Angel!!! If they got back, then it would have been the best thing ever!!!!
I personally believe that the producers were afraid that people would grow tired of Bangel... BULLSHIT!! I believe that Riley was nothing but some way to make her realise that a relationship with a normal boy wouldn't work out and Spike... Well, that was a huge mistake and I was disgusted 由 how they managed to destroy such an interesting character as Spike is... The whole in-love-with-the-slayer-even-if-I'm-a-vampire thing should have been only Angel's. Spike shouldn't be the romantic guy as I, as many others, believe that he was just so cool when he was all badass with Dru. THEY truly shared affection, Spuffy was pretty much Buffy's self-punishment. 天使 shouldn't have left, and if he really had to he should have come back. And if that's still too much there should have been at least 更多 Spin-off episodes! There were such a few and that is such a pity!
I understand his reasons for leaving, but most don't apply to Buffy if 你 genuinely let yourself think about it. A Slayer isn't likely to survive long enough for him not ageing to have any effect (apart from making his own grief worse). Even in the comics she doesn't want kids. Riley was pretty much proof that a relationship with a normal human would fail, and the fact that her 下一个 relationship was with Spike is further proof. 天使 didn't think of stuff like that because he didn't want to think of her likely fate, because he loves her.
Anyway, we all know that in reality the break-up was caused 由 the 天使 spinoff. But in there hadn't been a spinoff, 天使 would have died in Becoming. And I'd prefer the hope of them reuniting, even if it's just a hope in my head and in fanfiction, to that.
I don't think he had to leave, and I definitely don't think that his leaving in any way could make Buffy happier as he wished her. He wanted her to have a normal life, but the thing about Buffy is she will never have a normal life because of being a Slayer. He was a vampire, he couldn't walk in light of the day, he couldn't have children - OKAY, but Buffy was not a typical teenager either. Being a Slayer makes 你 to think about many things but future is definitely not one of them. 你 have no idea if 你 will survive until tomorrow. So isn't it better to have 下一个 to you, things and people 你 爱情 the most? She did not seem to care that much about having children. I think with her life 你 have no time for children, and in season two she 说 to Angel, "When I look to the future all I see is You. All I want is you." He was the pinnacle of her happiness. Still I think leaving Sunnydale was a great sacrifice & a proof of how much he loved her.

I've always seen leaving like that as a proof of love. I guess people's opinion of such a 移动 is one of the things which determines if someone is a Bangel 或者 Spuffy lover.
Definitely. We will always see it that way, and to be truly honest I do believe that not only as a Bangel fan. The power of their 爱情 is undeniable so what could be the other possible reason for him to leave Sunnydale than protecting her? [interpreting the story, not the fact spin off was in the works;)]. It cost him a lot to leave. It required a lot of strength, it's the damn hard thing to leave someone 你 care for the most, who's your soulmate, your everything...But he did it, because he wanted her to have that normal life, 或者 at least try to have that. But as we see it with Riley it appears that 'the normal relationship' is not able to give her happiness.
