Was there ever a character with a personality different than what 你 expected? If so, who?

Akane Tsunemori from Psycho-Pass. 由 looking at pictures, and from a bit of the first episode I though she would be that one cute, naive, rather useless character 你 get in alot of action 日本动漫 that I wouldn't think much of (seriously, look at those 小狗 dog eyes). But she developed very nicely, and I was pleasantly surprised 由 the end of the series.

Homura Akemi

I thought she would be shy and nice. She was a horrible person. Then she became an evil creature. I really don't like Homura.
