What is the saddest/ most emotional event you've seen in Anime? (No deaths 或者 spoilers please!)

The saddest thing I've seen is from Witchblade. Masane's powers have almost completely depleted her life so she knows an upcoming fight will be her last. That night, her daughter, Rihoko makes 晚餐 for her as usual. Unbeknownst to her, this is Masane's last meal. Masane finishes her meal goes downstairs to talk with her friends. She reveals that she has 迷失 her sense of taste, meaning she couldn't enjoy her daughter's cooking one last time. I was in tears when I watched this. Just the thought of being unable to enjoy your last meal is just... heartbreaking... ANYWAY, what's the saddest thing you've seen?

no that's not envy thats really him and lust stabed him 野马 tried to save him 由 getting her philosopher's stone but she came back to life before he cold us it on him and almost killed 野马 havoc didn't die but he 迷失 the feeling in his legs really sad::(

It takes alot for something to get to me. To me, the sad part wasn't the death, but Mustang's reaction.

2) Nagisa's death (clannad)
3) Ushio's death (clannad)
and...
